Confirmation at Holy Spirit
Confirmation is the perfection of baptismal grace in which we receive the Holy Spirit in a unique way, deepening the graces we received at baptism and calling us to participate in the apostolic mission of the Church. The gift of the Holy Spirit we receive in the Sacrament of Confirmation is crucial to our lives because it is a relationship with the Holy Spirit that helps us to live out our Christian calling. In Confirmation, we are “sealed” with the Holy Spirit, giving us both an authority and responsibility within the Church. Confirmation deepens our baptismal life that calls us to be missionary witnesses of Jesus Christ in our families, neighborhoods, society, and the world. We receive the message of faith in a deeper and more intensive manner with great emphasis given to the person of Jesus Christ, who asked the Father to give the Holy Spirit to the Church for building up the community in loving service.Adults wanting to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation are welcome to inquire through Fr. Jose who leads the Becoming Catholic program.
