Because Sacramental spirituality is the only spirituality that lasts. The Catholic Mass is central to our faith, it is the Source & Summit of our faith. Much will change in the lives of teenagers, but their connection to Christ through the Eucharist will always stay the same.
Because teens don’t care what you have to say until they know you care. Strong relationships will help build the youth ministry program, but more importantly, these relationships will open teen’s hearts to the Gospel.
Because when you go where teens are, you know how to speak the Truth into their lives. The Edge Nights and Upper Room Life Nights are inviting, exciting and engaging. We teach the fullness of the Catholic Faith, plus we give young people answers to their questions about current issues with their families, at school, and in the world.
Because teens don’t just want to know about Christ. They want to know Christ Himself. We can never forget why we do this: to direct teenagers into a person relationship with Christ. Everything we do – liturgies, weekly gatherings, retreats – should lead to giving teens an opportunity to encounter the living God.
